Our quiet belief

Our philosophy is one. One maker, one bench, one piece at a time — each object the only one of its kind. We would rather make a single thing beautifully than a hundred in a hurry. Every Juhsone piece is shaped slowly, by hand, here in Pakistan — to be kept for a lifetime and passed on.

The Collection

A few things, made well

Every piece is one of a kind — the grain decides the rest. Prices are in Pakistani Rupees; each object can be commissioned in your choice of wood.

Materials

Honest wood,
chosen by hand

We work mostly in two woods, with the occasional imported timber when a piece asks for it. Nothing is veneered, nothing is hidden — what you see is solid all the way through.

  • Ash

Pale, springy and bright-grained — light to lift, strong to keep.

  • Walnut

Deep chocolate tones with ribbons of figure that warm over time.

  • Imported timbers

Maple, oak and rarer woods, brought into our Pakistan workshop for commissions that deserve them.

Rooted in Pakistan

A Mughal inheritance

Pakistan's woodcarvers have shaped jali screens and inlaid doors for centuries — from the Mughal courtyards of Lahore to the carving benches of Chiniot. Juhsone works in that same lineage: patient hand-carving, geometry drawn from memory, and joinery made to outlast its maker.

Made in Pakistan — in the old way.

The Craft

From plank to keepsake

  1. 01

    Select

Boards are read for grain and figure. Only the calmest, cleanest cuts make it to the bench.

  2. 02

    Shape

Hand planes, gouges and patience. The form is coaxed out slowly, checked by eye and by hand.

  3. 03

    Finish

Sanded through the grits, then fed with natural oils and wax until the surface glows.

Piece No·01

The Lumen candle stand

Turned from a single block of walnut, Lumen holds a flame at the perfect height for a long evening. The base is weighted and waxed; the grain runs unbroken around its curve. It is the piece we are best known for — and the one we are proudest to send out into the world.

The Atelier

One maker,
one bench

Juhsone began with a simple urge — to make things by hand and make them beautifully. Every object is drawn, cut, shaped and finished by one person, in one small workshop in Pakistan. There is no production line — only one maker, the wood, the tools, and the time it takes to do it right.

If you would like something made for your home, I would love to hear what you have in mind.
